"It was Paul's delight to spend his life for
God's interests in other people, and he did not care what it cost... the apostle Paul had no conditions or reservations (pertaining to serving God)"...
~Oswald Chambers
I was very convicted by the the part the said "no conditions or reservations." I had to ask myself, "How many times do I put conditions and reservations on how willing I am to serve God? Am I willing to serve Him and do His will even if He asks me to get out of my comfort zone and do things that I would not normally do?" I know that for me, I say that I am willing to do whatever He asks of me until He asks me to do something that I don't like and then my determination changes. I put reservations and conditions on how I will serve Him saying, "I will serve, but please don't take me out of my comfort zone. Please don't make me do anything that would require me to change." It made me really examine when in the past I have put reservations on my faith and in what areas of my life I am still doing that. I am asking God to continue to reveal to me those areas so that I can ask for His forgiveness in which I am putting conditions, and then allow Him to soften my heart to so I can change and give Him complete control.
Something to think about...
